During the usual hectic hustle and bustle of my job, I rarely had the time to properly display my artwork in a way that I would expect from somebody's portfolio. But recently I had the opportunity and the inclination to make a piece of Star Trek fan art, and then to gussy her up a bit and show her off. There is a lot I would like to fix about her but isn't that always the case? Anyway, I hope you enjoy my art.
The USS Diana is an experimental ship featuring a reworked, reverse design meant to facilitate sustained Warp Factors of up to 9.97. However, this incredible speed comes at the cost of offensive capabilities. Especially on the bow, port, and starboard of the ship. Because of this the saucer was designed to readily detach in combat. While detached from the main hull the saucer loses its ability to warp or use the Warp Core to overcharge its weapon arrays but it also gains an incredible amount of maunueverability and offensive range.
Because the saucer is meant to so readily detach, the majority of Science and Civilian staff are housed in the main hull. While the saucer is reserved for Tactical personel. Meanwhile engineering is distributed evenly.
